I have been blessed to be able to visit Alaska several times. Three times I’ve traversed the state of Alaska – 2 by sea and 1 by land. I sorta sound like Paul Revere. All joking aside, Alaska is a wonderful experience for anyone! I really do mean everyone too, not just environmentalist, tree huggers, naturalist etc. I really do mean anyone. I am a city girl and I loved the Midnight sun, the vastness of the surroundings.
I did a small (perhaps more tiny) hike on a glacier when I visited Anchorage a few years back. I’m not really an outdoorsy person, I like being outside, taking walks, ride my bike on occasions but hiking up a glacier was not really my ‘thing’. My husband convinced me that it was something I should do, but I was stubborn and refused to even buy hiking books, which he suggest would make this outing to hike the glacier much easier. So we ventured out by car to hike this glacier, thinking the whole trip that I would really rather we just visit a glacier museum, but alas they didn’t have one.
There are wonderful museums, truly inspiring art galleries, a wildlife rescue habitat to visit and so much more to see and do. Keep your mind open to explore this wonderful state. There is something to do & see for anyone. With their wonderful surroundings, you’ll find something to do if you are a historical buff, a foodie, outdoor adventurer and more. Explore Alaska!
Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit, but instead of that, this is great blog. An excellent read. I will certainly be back.
Thank you for your comments & suggestions. I am in the final planning stages for some new additions to my blog, adding more photos is one! Look forward to chatting with you & finding out what you think of the new items.
