Ireland:

JetBlue and Aer Lingus Create Code Share Flights…Will This Be A JetGreen?!?

A petition has been filed by Jet Blue and Aer Lingus to hade a code sharing partnerships for flights in the USA that connect to an Aer Lingus flight in Boston and New York.

We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.

These flights will be code shared under Aer Lingus’s flight code EI. This agreement will begin April 1, 2013 and will now connect the two airlines with Jet Blue’s schedule flights from 29 different locations in the USA. This code share will be only for flights going to Ireland.

The Emerald Isle of Ireland could benefit more in the future from Jet Blue’s wide US departure base, but at this time it is only covering the flights from these two cities.

Though future plans have not been approved by the DOT yet, Jet Blue’s competitors must be green with envy to be able to catch this pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!
